The Government plans to award a sole-source contract to Reger Enterprises, Inc., a service-disabled veteran-owned small business located in Stafford, Virginia, to continue ongoing engineering services and complete current projects supporting the U.S. Army Project Manager Unit of Action-Technologies and DARPA. These efforts, initially contracted to REI, cannot be competitively sourced without risking the loss of trained personnel, increased costs, and delays, as REI is uniquely qualified to complete the work. The contract will cover a six-month period starting April 1, 2006, with a follow-on contract anticipated to be competed during this timeframe. This notice serves only as an announcement of the intent to award the contract and not a request for proposals, nor will an RFP be issued. Comments concerning the sole-source award are requested by March 20, 2006, and should be directed to the designated Government contact. The contract’s NAICS code is 541330, and the work is managed by the Department of Defense office at White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico.

This is a notice that the Government intends to award a sole-source contract to Reger Enterprises, Inc. (REI) 2052 Jefferson Davis Highway, Suite 107, Stafford, VA 22554-7219, a service-disabled veteran owned small business for continuation of curren t engineering services and completion of current projects in support of the U.S. Army Project Manager Unit of Action-Technologies (PM UA-T) and the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA). These services and projects were begun under a current contract to REI, Inc. and REI, Inc. is the only firm that can complete this effort. It is anticipated that the follow-on contract for this effort will be competed during the six-month period of performance. This is a not a request for proposals.
