Continuing Architectural/Engineering (A/E) Services - Region 1

The Florida Department of Corrections is soliciting sealed qualifications from architectural and engineering firms to provide continuing professional services for various projects within Region 1. The scope of work encompasses the design, pre-construction, and construction phases for projects authorized on an as-needed basis. Eligible projects are those with basic construction costs not exceeding 7.5 million dollars and professional service fees not exceeding 500,000 dollars. The resulting contract may be awarded to up to three firms for an initial term of up to five years, with the possibility of a five-year renewal. Qualified firms must hold a current Florida A/E Professional Registration Certificate and demonstrate at least three years of relevant business experience within the last five years. Submissions must include a comprehensive set of documentation, including SF330 forms, a Professional Qualifications Supplement, and various state-mandated attestations regarding forced labor and foreign countries of concern. Evaluation is conducted by a selection committee based on a ranked scoring system. Due to the nature of the work, contractors must adhere to strict security protocols within correctional institutions, including rigorous tool control and restrictions on communication devices.
