This initiative aims to standardize critical microbiology testing across multiple diagnostic laboratories in Saskatchewan, including existing sites in Saskatoon, Melfort, Lloydminster, and Swift Current, as well as planned expansions into Yorkton, Regina, Estevan, and North Battleford. The use of the Filmarray Torch System is intended to support rural laboratories with limited technical staffing by providing a small equipment footprint and ensuring quick turnaround times for patient admissions. While the SHA has signaled its intent to award the contract to BioMerieux, this Advance Contract Award Notice allows other suppliers to submit a statement of capabilities by September 28, 2026, to demonstrate their ability to meet the specified requirements.
