The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division, Philadelphia plans to negotiate a sole-source modification with Naval Automation Group (NAG) LLC, the original awardee of Contract N65540-08-D-0003, which was initially granted through full and open competition. This contract modification aims to increase the scope of work by an additional 24,150 labor hours and extend the ordering and performance period, enabling continued white and blue collar support until a follow-on contract can be awarded competitively. Consequently, the contract ceiling will be adjusted to reflect the increased effort while all other existing terms and conditions remain unchanged. This action is justified under the authority of U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1(a)(2), which allow for other than full and open competition when supplies or services are available from only one responsible source. The modification supports the agency’s requirement for uninterrupted service delivery and facilitates the transition to a future contract awarded through a full and open competition process. The contract falls under NAICS code 334511 and involves support for the Department of Defense, managed through the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division office in Bethesda, Maryland.
