CONTRACTED AIR SERVICES ELECTRONIC WARFARE AIRCRAFT TRAINING

The Government has concluded, based on thorough market research and an analysis of current and future Navy technological needs, that the Electronic Warfare Aircraft for Training (EWAT) follow-on program no longer aligns with their evolving requirements and has decided to terminate this effort. In place of EWAT, the Navy is developing a new electronic warfare flight training initiative focused on advanced capabilities that address more demanding threat emulation scenarios. This new program, provisionally named Contracted Air Services (CAS) High Endurance Electronic Warfare Jet Capabilities (HEEWJ Cap), will engage in extensive communication and market research with industry partners, including upcoming Industry Day events, as the Government shapes the competitive solicitation. The contract in question, titled "Contracted Air Services Electronic Warfare Aircraft Training," was posted in January 2018 as a sources-sought notice under solicitation number N00421-16-R-0076 by the Naval Air Warfare Center Air Division of the Department of Defense. While the original program related to NAICS code 481219, no set-aside types were indicated. The Office is based in Patuxent River, Maryland, with designated contract specialists Helen Choo and Joe R.
