AI Contract Overview
This contract is for the procurement of 376 units of cartridge ejectors, which are classified as critical gun parts. The awardee must comply with strict technical and quality requirements, including CMMC Level 2 certification and phosphate coating supplier certifications. Because the item is defined as a defense article under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations and the Arms Export Control Act, manufacturers and exporters must be registered with the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls. The agreement mandates a Contractor First Article Test and requires product inspection by the DCMA QAR at the manufacturer's facility. Specific technical data package requirements apply, including the use of manganese coating if an option for zinc is provided and adherence to specific ASME and MIL-DTL standards. Additionally, the contractor must provide QPL/QML components from qualified sources and submit the identification of the actual manufacturer and phosphate contractor to the contracting officer for approval. Delivery is expected within 528 days after the order.
