The U.S. Air Force, through the Air Force Sustainment Center and the 422nd SCMS at Tinker Air Force Base, is conducting market research to identify potential suppliers for the new manufacture of the Converter-Transducer with part number 11264-1 and NSN 1660-01-212-8889, intended for use on the F-16 platform. This effort, identified by Notice ID FD20302700063, is a Sources Sought synopsis under FAR Part 10 and is not a solicitation or request for proposal; no contract will be awarded based on this notice, and no funds are currently available. The requirement is for 17 units, and potential vendors must be capable of end-to-end production including component procurement, inspection, testing, packaging, shipping, and managing supply chain challenges such as diminishing manufacturing sources and long-lead parts. Nonrecurring engineering costs associated with qualification may also apply. The government is seeking responses from a broad range of businesses including small businesses, small disadvantaged businesses, 8(a) firms, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses, HUBZone businesses, and women-owned small businesses, with the NAICS code 336413 carrying a 500-employee size standard. Responses must be submitted via the designated workflow email by the deadline of July 23, 2026, Central Standard Time, and interested parties must select the “Add Me to Interested Vendors” button to be considered. The information gathered will inform the Air Force’s acquisition strategy, including the possibility of splitting the requirement by airframe or setting it aside for small business participation, but no procurement action is imminent. All work, if later contracted, would be performed at Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma.
