Copier Hard Drive Removal

The Internal Revenue Service intends to issue a sole source contract to Xerox Corporation, 7900 West Park Drive, McLean, VA 22102-4242 under authority 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(2) as implemented by FAR 6.302 for copier hard drive disposal services. This service will include approximately 185 copiers for the inspection and removal of all hard drives prior to the copier being released to the contractor at the end of each lease agreement. The anticipated period of performance is for one year and one - twelve month option period. Xerox Corporation provides leased copiers on a nation wide contract in various locations nationwide. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTATIONS. No solicitation will be issued, therefore, all requests for the solicitation will be considered non-responsive. All Treasury contractors are required to register in the DoD Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to execution of award. An award will be made to Xerox Corporation, within 25 days of this notice. The NAICS Code is 811212 - Computer and Office Machine Repair and Maintenance Special Notice The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) intends to issue a purchase order on a sole source basis to the Xerox Corporation to provide secure sanitation and removal Xerox copier hard drives. The hard will be purchased by and supplied to the IRS. This service is required to be performed at the end of each copier lease agreement. The copiers Xerox Corporation was one of three vendors awarded a Nationwide Copier Lease and Maintenance Contract. XEROX is the owner of these copiers which are leased on contract numbers TIRNO-04-D-00031 and TIRNO-11-C00022. Xerox is the sole vendor that has the authority to conduct the inspection and removal or sanitize (wipe) of hard drives for said copiers.
