Hillsborough County intends to recommend the award of a five (5) year noncompetitive procurement for Core Medical Services with St. Joseph’s Community Care, Inc.; Suncoast Community Health Centers, Inc.; Tampa Family Health Centers, Inc.; and Florida Health Sciences Center, Inc. d/b/a Tampa General Hospital, in a total aggregate amount of approximately $111,250,000.00 ($22,250,000.00 annually). This procurement is being made in accordance with Section 3-208(25) of the County’s Procurement Policy because the medical services offered will include examination, diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and medical consultation to the over 18,928 current members of the Hillsborough County Health Care Plan by providers uniquely qualified by the State of Florida to receive additional funding through the Low-Income Pool Program. The County reserves the right to extend the time period further, adjust the scope of services in response to changing conditions and updated requirements, and increase the resulting award accordingly. By way of this notice, additional suppliers may be considered for contract award, if qualified and meet all requirements of the State of Florida Low Income Pool Program requirements. Contractors who believe that they can provide goods and/or services that are substantially and materially the same as those identified in the attached agreement must submit clear and convincing information to support a challenge the intended award. Challenges to this notice must be received no later than the Close Date of the Sole Source (SS) Project. After this date, an award will be made.
