The Annual Worldwide Air Force Corrosion Conference, held August 16-18, 2011 at the Robins AFB Museum of Aviation in Warner Robins, GA, is a key event managed by the Air Force Corrosion Prevention and Control Office to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing among Air Force and Department of Defense organizations regarding corrosion prevention on aircraft and aerospace systems. The conference supports the Air Force Corrosion Maintenance Program’s mission to prevent, detect, and control corrosion, thereby maintaining combat capability. With an attendance typically around 500 participants from government and industry, the event features technical presentations from various DoD entities, contractors, and vendors on topics such as advanced coatings, NASA non-chrome initiatives, F-35 corrosion programs, and military specification updates. This conference serves as a vital platform to transition new corrosion control technologies from research labs to field use across the Air Force and DoD. While attendance is free and open to all, including foreign nationals, early registration is recommended due to space limits. A limited number of vendor booths are also available for exhibiting companies. It is important to note that this event is not a solicitation or a contract, and no government liability is assumed for attendee expenses. Travel and visa guidance are provided to assist potential attendees, with points of contact available for additional information during business hours.
