The VA Medical Center, Bay Pines, Florida intends to negotiate sole source with bioMerieux, Inc., 595 Anglum Rod, Hazelwood, MO 63042-2320 for a cost per test arrangement using the Vitek 2 microbiology system. The cost shall include all hardware, software, and installation as well as the purchase of an estimated annual quantity of regent supplies to be used in conjunction with the analyzer. The contract will be for a base period of one year, with four option year renewals. The subject equipment shall remain the property of the contractor throughout the contract term. NAICS code #325413 applies to this procurement. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302.
