Crane HS - Jackson Ave Door Replacement - Open to contracted pre-qualified pool for VARIOUS TRADES ONLY

Chicago Public Schools is soliciting bids for the removal and replacement of fifteen 36-inch metal exterior doors and frames across five entrances at Crane Medical Preparatory High School, located at 2245 W. Jackson Blvd, Chicago, IL. The scope of work includes the installation of fire-rated door assemblies, associated hardware such as panic devices and continuous hinges, and painting in a facility-selected color. All work must adhere to strict technical standards, including ADA 2010, NFPA 80, and the City of Chicago Building Code. A mandatory walkthrough was scheduled for September 24, 2026, and all bids must be submitted electronically via EUNA/Bonfire by October 1, 2026, at 7:00 PM. Financial and administrative requirements are tiered based on the total bid price. Bids of $25,000 or more require a 5% bid bond and signatory status with the relevant union. For bids of $50,000 or more, contractors must include the premium cost for payment and performance bonds in their submission. Additionally, MBE/WBE documentation is mandatory for bids of $75,000 or more. Submissions must utilize the official Facilities Bid Cover Sheet and include all required warranty information. Public bid readings will be conducted via Google Meet on the submission deadline.
