Full Description

This is a PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE in accordance with FAR Subpart 5.203. The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) intends to issue a solicitation for currency readers for the blind and visually impaired. BEP anticipates issuing the solicitation on or about September 30, 2013. The BEP will solicit this requirement utilizing Full and Open Competition after exclusion of sources as a 100% Small Business set-aside. The applicable NAICS code is 339999 "All Other Miscellaneous Manufacturing" with a size standard of 500. The anticipated award will be a firm, fixed price Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contract.
