Current Contents Connect Subscription

NAICS Code: 511140. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Office of Acquisition Management (OAM), Cincinnati Procurement Operations Division, intends to negotiate on a sole source basis using Simplified Acquisition Procedures under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) with Thompson Reuters (Scientific), Inc. The requirement is for a 1 year subscription (12 months) renewal of Current Contents Connect. The subscription shall provide access to four (4) libraries: 1) Agriculture, Biology and Environmental Sciences 2) Engineering, Computing and Technology 3) Life Sciences 4) Physical, Chemical and Earth Sciences This is NOT a Request for Proposal. However, any firm believing itself capable of meeting the EPA's requirement may submit technical documentation to establish the potential of complying with the specifications. Such documentation must be submitted to the point of contact prior to September 14, 2009 at 3:00 PM EDT. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered only for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement or to proceed on a sole source basis.
