Custom Fabricated Stainless Steel End Tubes & Housing Body

The Contractor is tasked with fabricating, machining, finishing, inspecting, and delivering three custom stainless steel components for Brookhaven National Laboratory: a Type 206 stainless steel end station tube (PD-CSX-ES-1411), a Type 304 stainless steel end station body housing (PD-CSX-ES-1422), and a Type 304 stainless steel rotary end station tube (PD-CSX-ES-1431), with chromium plating required on the first and third items. All work must strictly adhere to the BSA Statement of Work dated June 26, 2026, the associated engineering drawings and STEP files, and the BNL Supplier Quality Assurance Requirements (BNL-QA-101), which mandate compliance with ISO 9001 and NQA-1 standards. The Contractor must implement a documented quality assurance program, submit manufacturing and inspection plans 60 days prior to work commencement, and ensure traceability of all materials through heat and lot numbers. Special processes such as welding, brazing, and plating require approved procedures and qualified personnel, and any design or process changes must be immediately reported. Packaging and preservation must comply with ASTM D 3951, including corrosion inhibition, vapor barrier wraps, and desiccants where necessary, while all items must be clearly labeled with serial numbers, material specifications, and ESD warnings when applicable. Delivery is FOB Destination, prepaid via UPS Ground, to BNL’s receiving facility in Upton, New York, with a firm deadline of August 31, 2026.
