Custom Meter Vault Lid

The City of Newport News is soliciting bids under IFB No. 27-1833-3103 for a qualified contractor to provide all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to replace a custom meter vault lid at the Canon Virginia facility, specifically at the Meter Vault 50 location. The scope of work includes field verification of all dimensions, fabrication of a replacement lid that replicates the existing form, fit, and function, and the installation of the new assembly. Technical specifications require the use of carbon steel with a diamond plate top and W6x10 beams, finished with a UV-stable prime and epoxy paint on both sides. Additionally, the contractor must use Bilco brand rust-resistant, flush-mounted, and lockable hatch doors, as no substitutions are permitted.
