STATEMENT OF WORK Automotive Service Excellence [Equipment Only] A.1 STATEMENT OF WORK OBJECTIVE To obtain training equipment for the Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certified motor vehicle repair program at FCC Victorville, Victorville CA. to include the Federal Prisons Camp; the Federal Correction Institute I; the Federal Correction Institute II, and the United States Penitentiary. SCOPE OF WORK The following training equipment is needed to provide live work and hands- on training opportunities for students enrolled in the course outline under "scope of service" below. Live work and hands-on training is a required component of the curricula for the master mechanic certification program. Students must be able to certify that hands-on component training was completed prior to seating for the ASE certification examination. Equipment must have a minimum of one year warranty covering materials and cost of repair. Because of the security needs of a correctional environment equipment cannot operate on gasoline. If a hybrid component, equipment must be able to function without the need of combustible fuel; a plug-and-play units are desirable albeit with battery components. Equipment must be portable or has other means to move from one location to another with ease. Items Needed: One (1) Cutaway Hybrid Engine and drive train (Any model and make, 2009 year or later) One (1) Cutaway 4 x 4 Drive Train with automatic transmission (Any model and make, 2009 year or later) One (1) Suspension & Steering Trainer One (1) Cutaway Engine and Transmission with a minimum of 4 Cyl (Any model and make, 2009 year or later) One (1) Evap System Trainer SCOPE OF SERVICE The equipment above must be applicable for training use for the course modules described below: Automotive Automatic Transmission Overhaul. Automotive Standard Transmission and Differential Overhaul. Automotive Heating and Air Conditioning Systems. Automotive Steering &Suspension Systems. Automotive Electrical/Electronic System Repair. Automotive Breaking Systems. Automotive Engine Repair. Automotive Repair Ignition and Fuel Systems. Automotive Hybrid Safety Systems. SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED Vendor must be able to sell to the Federal Government and be in good standing. INSTITUTION SECURITY Equipment will be used in the confined area of a federal prison environment. OTHER MISCELLANEOUS INFORMATION The purchase is a contractual arrangement. Payment is based on an end product. The service does not constitute an employer/employee relationship. The contractor will not be subject to Government supervision, except for security related matters. However, contractor performance shall be monitored. PLACE OF PERFORMANCE The equipment will be delivered to the Vocational Training, Education Department at the Federal Correctional Complex, 13777 Air Expressway Blvd., Victorville, CA 92394. ANTICIPATED PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE On or before September 31, 2015 Contract will be awarded pending date of award. Should funds not be immediately available, contract award will be postponed until such time as funds become available.
