Cybersecurity Compliance and Incident Reporting

This contract requires strict adherence to NIST SP 800-171 cybersecurity standards to safeguard controlled unclassified information within subcontracted systems, ensuring all technical, operational, and management controls are properly implemented and maintained. The contractor must establish and sustain a security posture that meets Department of Defense expectations for information protection, with continuous monitoring and documentation to demonstrate compliance at all times. Any cyber incident affecting system integrity, confidentiality, or availability must be reported to the appropriate authorities within 72 hours of discovery, with thorough documentation of the event and immediate mitigation efforts initiated. To support ongoing audit readiness, the contractor is obligated to preserve complete system images and forensic evidence for all relevant computing environments, enabling the Defense Logistics Agency and other DoD entities to conduct timely and comprehensive audits. These images must be retained in a secure, unaltered state and made readily available upon request to verify compliance, investigate potential breaches, or validate remediation measures. Failure to meet these requirements may result in termination of the subcontract, financial penalties, or loss of eligibility for future DoD contracts.
