Cybersecurity Compliance and Incident Response Support

The contract requires the implementation and ongoing maintenance of NIST SP 800-171 security controls across all systems that process, store, or transmit unclassified contract information. This includes establishing and sustaining technical and administrative safeguards to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive data, with a focus on continuous compliance monitoring and documentation. The contractor must ensure all system configurations meet NIST standards and perform regular assessments to identify and remediate vulnerabilities. In addition to compliance, the contractor is responsible for managing incident response activities, including the timely detection, reporting, and containment of cybersecurity incidents involving contract data. This entails preserving digital media for forensic analysis and submitting any identified malicious software to the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency's Digital Crime Center. All actions must align with federal cybersecurity directives and be conducted in a manner that supports accountability, traceability, and regulatory adherence throughout the system lifecycle.
