Full Description

NOTICE OF INTENT: The VA Medical Center, West Palm Beach FL intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Cerner Corporation, 2800 Rockcreek Parkway, Kansas City, Missouri, 64117 for maintenance service for the CareTracker software. Cerner Corporation has proprietary ownership of the software (Patent Registration Numbers 3381941 and 3973564) and has been found to be the only source available to provide this service to the West Palm Beach Medical Center. This is a notice of intent for Sole Source procurement under Other Than Full and Open Competition (FAR 6.302-1). The associated NAICS Code is 541513. This is a Notice of Intent and is not a request for competitive proposals. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Responses must be received no later than noon, July 23, 2012 and all responses will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
