Full Description

FISC Norfolk Contracting Department Philadelphia Office intends to issue an RFP for the provision of services in support of the Naval Air Station/ Joint Reserve Base (NAS/JRB) located in Willow Grove, PA. This will be a Firm Fixed Price contract. The contractor shall perform operations and maintenance of the existing communications switch, two remote IPE units, and related support systems and services in Willow Grove, PA. The Government requires technical support, daily operations support and maintenance of a large capacity Nortel Meridian Option 81C switch with four nodes and two remote IPE's, integrated Voice Mail system, battery supply, main distribution frame (MDF), wiring closets, inside plant (fiber and copper), horizontal cable, telephone jacks and mounting cords excluding telephone sets, and Local Access Service Support at NAS/JRB, Willow Grove, PA. The Government requires the selected contractor to provide one (1) on-site technician who shall maintain the! Meridian switch and related support systems described in the PWS, and who shall perform inside/outside cable plant maintenance and moves/adds/changes. The contractor shall provide a single price to meet the operations and maintenance requirements including an on-site technician. The on-site technician shall have access to Tier II technical support from a remote Technical Support Center (TSC). It is anticipated that the RFP shall be issued in May 2009 with an award date sometime before September 2009. Services shall commence 30 days after award date. The base year shall consist of 12 months with two one year options included. These services are currently being provided under contract N00140-05-P-0307. The RFP shall require submission of a technical and cost proposal. This is an unrestricted acquisition, all responsible sources may submit a proposal that shall be considered by the Navy. It is the intention of the Navy to issue this RFP through electronic means only.! This RFP shall be available upon issuance at http://www.neco.navy.mil.
