D -- Engineering and Ashore Operations Support Services

Proposed sole source modification to add the following to contract N00033-06-D-6507 with Science Applications International Corporation, San Diego, CA: 1) Task 4.3 Systems Engineering - additional engineering level of effort to support (a) Technology refresh of MSC Deployed Technology including Operating Systems (Microsoft and SUN), Oracle Platforms and BMC Technology; (b) Information Assurance (IA) improvement projects primarily supporting the MSC IA posture; and (c) implementation of new applications from N63 and implementation of DoD mandates. 2) Task 4.3 Systems Engineering / Subtask 4.4.2 Data Center Operations ?additional MCDC Operation and Engineering effort required to support changes to MSC?s Corporate Data Center (MCDC). 3) Subtask 4.4.1 Local Area Network Operations ?additional effort required to support the transition change for relocating MSFSC. 4) Subtask 4.4.3 Continuity of Operations Support ? additional effort required to support MSC Disaster Recovery Site (MDRS) operational requirement. 5) Subtask 4.4.3 Continuity of Operations Support ? additional effort required to support MSC Continuity of Operations (COOP) test support requirements. 6) Task 4.5 Global Helpdesk Operations ? additional effort required to support Global helpdesk increased call volume. These requirements have been determined to be sole source in order to insure compatibility with existing systems and continue operations of existing systems.
