NASA Goddard Space Flight Center plans to issue a combined Synopsis and Request forProposal (RFP) # NNG10318872R for Land Mobile Radio Maintenance (LMR). This procurementis a follow-on effort to the requirement currently being performed under contractNNG05AZ02P for Land Mobile Radio Lease and Maintenance. The system is used by NASA/GSFCin Greenbelt, Maryland to support emergency preparedness communication requirements inaddition to routine day-to-day mission, logistics, safety, environmental, mechanical,information services, facility, and security communications needs. This responsibility includes providing preventative and corrective maintenance for allcomponents which comprise GSFCs Ultra High Frequency (UHF) LMR system as defined inSection II (GSFC LMR - System Definition), and maintaining the coverage and servicesprovided by the existing system; maintaining all system software, informing NASA whensoftware updates are available, and installing the software required to activate newproduct features or improve the security and availability of the LMR system; havingaccess to replacement parts to support corrective maintenance service requirements, andallow NASA to purchase hand-held radios, desktop radios, and compatible accessories forthe term of the contract.This procurement is a full and open competitive procurement. This procurement is anticipated to result in a Fixed Price (FP) Indefinite DeliveryIndefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract. The anticipated effective ordering period is forfive years.
