The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 7, intends to award a three (3) year sole-source contract to SYMON COMMUNICATION, INC, 500 N Central Expressway, Suite 175, Plano, TX 75074 on or around October 1, 2013 to provide maintenance and support for the Target Vision System. Ralph H Johnson VAMC currently has Symon Target Vision platform and system across the organizations. Symon is the manufacturer of the Target Vision system and associated Symon Enterprise Software, CBOCs. The Target Vision system is a content management system that provides visual communication to our patients, visitors, employees. All software and hardware items were purchased and manufactured by Symon Communications. The system is a state-of-the-art, integrated hardware/software platform for collecting, designing, scheduling, and delivering digital content (such as video, graphics, photos, texts, real-time data, etc). The Symon content package consists of both hardware and software (as listed in item #3). Symon Communications designed and developed the content management software and hardware platform for the Medical Center's TargetVision system. The system interfaces between Symon's content management engine, Symon Enterprise Software, and the Symon hardware. The maintenance service includes unlimited 800 supports, all software upgrades, and a subscription service that includes news weather, radar, alerts, and wellness messages. Thus knowledge of the Symon hardware and software is required to perform maintenance and upgrades of which can only be provided by Symon Communication. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement no later than September 3, 2013 @ 12 p.m. EDT.
