The Army Contracting Command, National Capital Region, plans to award a sole source contract to NextiraOne Federal, LLC for manufacturer-level support of Nortel Networks electronic digital telephone switch systems used throughout the Department of Defense worldwide. These systems include switches, peripherals, and user equipment that provide critical telephony services such as dial tone, voicemail, and network connectivity to the Public Switched Telephone Network and Defense Switched Network. The contract covers life-cycle logistics support, repair parts, and long-term field support services in alignment with certifications by the Joint Integrated Technical Center and the Installation Information Infrastructure Modernization Program, supporting various global locations including Southwest Asia, Korea, Japan, Hawaii, Alaska, and the Continental United States. The contract will be a Firm Fixed Price agreement with a six-month period of performance and three one-month option periods. This award is justified under FAR 6.302-1 due to NextiraOne Federal being the only responsible source capable of meeting the agency requirements. The action is not open for competition, and no Requests for Proposal will be issued. Potential interested parties may submit capability statements to the assigned contract specialist by a specified deadline, but the government's decision not to compete is final. The contract is aimed at ensuring uninterrupted support of mission-critical telecommunications infrastructure across multiple DoD installations.
