Solicitation Number: DE-SOL-0009101 Notice Type: Special Notice Synopsis: THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. This notice is for informational purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. Potential sources who believe they can provide the services listed below are invited to submit substantiating documentation in writing to the identified point of contact. Information received will be considered solely for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. A determination by the Government to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely at the discretion of the Government. The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), Office of Science intends to award a sole source contract to Annams Systems Corporation, located in San Roman, CA to renew software maintenance agreement for continued technical support for Sunflower Assets software. The requirement consists of a one-year maintenance renewal for Sunflower Systems asset management software. Annams Systems Corporation is the sole provider of Sunflower Assets, an enterprise asset management solutions and software company specializing in the deployment of software tools and business process to simplify asset management tasks. The DOE is using exemption to competition 6.302-1(a) (2) (ii), One Responsible Source. This is a notice of intent and not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation is available for this requirement. If a firm believes the DOE should not pursue this sole source procurement to Sunflower Systems, then they should submit a capability statement and pricing information for the requirement by 3:00pm EDT October 30, 2015. A determination by the Government to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
