Full Description

This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT using Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR Part 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. This will be an acquisition under the authority of the test program for commercial items section 4202 of the Clinger-Cohen Act of 1996. The US Army Research, Development and Engineering Command Contracting Center, Aberdeen Installation Contracting Division, 4118 Susquehanna Avenue, Aberdeen, MD 21005 has a requirement to procure the following items: CLIN 0001 1 each X86 Windows Development Environment Maintenance GNAT Pro Ada native environment to develop Ada Software for x86 Windows (32 bits), P/N: T15:Ada/x86WIN CLIN 0002 1 each X86 GNU Linux Development Environment Maintenance GNAT Pro Ada native environment to develop Ada Software for x86 GNU Linux (32bits). P/N:T15:Ada/x86LNX CLIN 0003 1 each X86 .NET Development Enviroment Maintenance GNAT Pro Ada native environment to develop Ada Software for .NET on Windows. P/N: T15:Ada/NETX86WIN CLIN0004 1 each Credit amount already paid for additional platform in December 2010. The Government intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price sole source contract to ADA Core Technologies. This firm is the sole developer/manufacturer /distributor of the product. The GNAT Ada Compiler is proprietary and sold only through ADA Core. FTaB's customers use specific compilers for the development of their software. FTaB provides components that must use the same Ada compiler and version that enables FTaB's software to be integrated into the customers' software. All responses received within ten (10) days after date of publication of this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than 2:00 PM Eastern Time, Friday, May 13, 2011. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government in future procurements.
