Full Description

This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for commercial items prepared in accordance with the information in FAR Subpart 12.6, using Simplified Acquisition Procedures under the test program for commercial items found at FAR 13.5, as supplemented with the additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a written solicitation will not be issued. PAPER COPIES OF THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE. The RFP number is OAS-GEN-R-10-0101. This solicitation documents and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through FAC 2005-43. It is the responsibility of the contractor to be familiar with the applicable clauses and provisions. A Requirements Type contract will result from this Request for Proposal. This effort supports the Executive Office of the President's (EOP) requirement for the daily formation of morning news briefings for EOP components. In furtherance of the EOP's mission, senior officials shall start each day fully informed regarding important news printed and broadcast nationwide. The EOP has determined that this can best be accomplished via an expert-edited briefing rather than full-text articles or computer-generated summaries.
