Reason for Date Movement: An unexpected surge in new requirements for PSNS and IMF has become DLA Pugets highest priority. We extend an apology to Vendors and other Government agencies for any inconvenience this event date change may cause. (original event date was 31 March 2016) Nevertheless, we encourage Vendors to monitor FBO and the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) for new business opportunities. What: Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) in support of Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility, is hosting an all-day Meet N Greet with Industry event. Purpose: DLA/PME will be hosting a Meet N Greet with Industry event to introduce itself as a Government procurement organization to large and small businesses alike. The goal of the event is to enhance awareness of business opportunities for industry with DLA/PME - PSNS and IMF, address Industry feedback on real or potential procurement process concerns, offer greater transparency of DLA/PME - PSNS and IMF buying trends, and to include other related Government agencies in the procurement discussion. Tentative Event Agenda: DLA/PME Welcome/Introduction (10-15 minutes) --Briefly discuss our role - what we buy (commercial supplies) --Review of DLA/PMEs top FSCS and associated dollar values for FY15 and FY16 --Q and A--Address questions provided in advance by Industry *Procurement Technical Assistance Center presentation/overview (20-30 minutes with Q and A) *General Service Agency (GSA) overview - on Industry participation (20-30 minutes with Q and A) *Small Business Agency overview - Seattle office (20-30 minutes with Q and A) *Defense Industry Adjustment Program - WA State Dept of Commerce (20-30 minutes with Q and A) *One-on-Ones with: DLA (Contracting Specialists and Purchasing Agents), GSA, SBA, DIAP, PTAC) Throughout the event, Vendors will be encouraged to provide written or verbal feedback related to DLA procurement processes.
