The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) has awarded Cost Plus Incentive Fee (CPIF) contract modification N00019-15-G-0026-1282-04 to Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation - Aerospace Systems (NGSC-AS), San Diego, CA, for the transition of existing Datalink Control Processor (DCP) software to the Linux operating system to ensure backward compatibility with previous versions of MQ-8 air vehicle software. This contract was awarded to NGSC-AS. in the amount of $684,506. This acquisition was conducted on a sole-source basis under statutory authority of Title 10, U.S.C. Section 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements." A determination by the Government not to compete this effort is solely within the discretion of the Government.
