PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN to all prospective bidders that the Norristown Stormwater Authority, Norristown, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania will receive sealed bids for the following Demolition of Blighted Structures Contract #2 Sealed bids shall be submitted and updated online until 11:00 AM, prevailing time, September 11, 2024 at which time bids received will be opened on line. All documents and solicitation details are available any time at PennBid (https://pennbid.bonfirehub.com) by clicking on the bids tab. Hard copies of all documents may be optionally purchased through PennBid. Estimated cost is $100.00. Project drawings and documents are available for inspection at the offices of the Municipality of Norristown 235 East Airy Street, Norristown PA 19401. The Scope of Work includes the following: Demolition of 4 free standing existing buildings and site restoration Bids must be submitted unconditionally. No bidder may withdraw a bid within SIXTY (60) days after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids. The Municipality reserves the right to waive any informalities, or to reject any or all bids. All prospective bidders are hereby notified that the contracts will require contractors and subcontractors to comply with certain state and local statutory and regulatory requirements, including, but not limited to, the following: • Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Rates. The Projects require all prime contractors and subcontractors to pay all laborers and mechanics employed on the Projects wages at rates not less than those prevailing on projects of a character similar in the locality. • Non-Discrimination. The Projects require all prime contractors and subcontractors to agree not to discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, religious creed, age, handicap, disability, or gender. • The Municipality has a Responsible Contractor Ordinance.
