This notice is NOT a synopsis or a solicitiation, but is posted to make businesses aware that a synopsis for this Invitation for Bid(IFB) will be posted approximately 11 August 2009. This RESTRICTED ACQUISITION is a set aside for HUBzone concerns and is posted in accordance with FAR 5.2 and 36.213-2. The Period of Performance is 180 days. SOLICITATION NUMBER: FA8601-09-B-0017 NAICS CODE: 238910. Size Standard $14,000,000. Demolition of Administrative Facility 20126, Area B, Project 040010. Complete demolition of a 3,235 square meter (34,827 gsf), 2-story (basement, 1st floor (16,708 gsf), 2nd Floor (16,718 gsf), brick exterior, building and adjacent sitework originally constructed in 1944 at 2644 Skyline Dr, Area B, Wright-Patterson AFB. Project includes complete removal and demolition of both facility parking lots (2,822 square yards and 4,496 square yards) to include removal of sidewalks, curb & gutter, and necessary landscaping. Project also includes the addition of steam lines. The Air Force intends to award a Firm Fixed Price contract with a performance period of 180 days. The estimated magnitude of the entire contract is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. 88 CONS/PKJB, will issue solicitation, FA8601-09-B-0017, on approximately 11 August 2009 with a closing date of approximately 11 September 2009 for the acquisition. You shall provide a signed copy of the SF 1442 by the bid closing date and time specified in the solicitation. There will be a public bid opening. Sealed envelopes containing bids shall be marked to show the bidder's name and address, the solicitation number, and the date and time proposals are due. 7. Contractors shall be capable of securing bonding for the total proposed amount (base plus options). However, contractors shall only be responsible for providing bonding for the base amount plus the amount of any and all options exercised at the time of award. If an option is exercised after award, contractors shall be responsible for securing the additional bonding equal to the amount of the option. 8. Contractors that are Debarred, Suspended, or Proposed for Debarment are excluded from receiving contracts. Agencies also shall not consent to subcontract with these contractors. This is a WPAFB Construction Contracting (PKJ) program. The current status is Pre-Solicitation and it is a Category Z - Maintenance, repair, and alteration of real property program.
