AI Contract Overview

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division intends to award a sole source, non-competitive contract to Aero Fluid Products for the depot capability establishment of the Relief Direct Operated Valve, P/N C5380-01, used in P-8A Aircraft. This effort involves the procurement of proprietary engineering, technical data, provisioning, and specialized support and test equipment. The goal is to establish organic depot-level maintenance and repair capabilities for this specific fuel system component at the Fleet Readiness Center Southwest in North Island, California. The government is pursuing a sole source procurement under 10 USC 2304 (c) (1) and FAR 6.302-1 because Aero Fluid Products is identified as the only responsible source capable of performing the work, as the government lacks the necessary technical data and drawings to allow for open competition. Interested parties were given 15 days from the publication date of December 3, 2014, to submit written proposals for consideration under solicitation number N68335-15-R-0036.
