Depot-level overhaul and repair of LM2500 Single Shank Turbine, LM2500 Paired Blade Turbine, LM2500 Power Turbine Assemblies, LM2500+ Gas Generators & LM2500+ PTA

The Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Division is establishing a Firm-Fixed-Price, Indefinite-Delivery, Indefinite-Quantity Multiple Award Contract (MAC) for the depot-level overhaul and repair of U.S. Navy LM2500 and LM2500+ marine gas turbine engines. This critical effort covers Gas Generators and Power Turbine Assemblies for various ship classes, including CG-47, DDG-51, LCS, LHD, LHA, and FFG-62. The total estimated contract value is 370 million dollars over a five-year ordering period, funded through Navy Operations and Maintenance and Foreign Military Sales appropriations. Due to the proprietary nature of the technology and the requirement for OEM genuine parts, eligibility is strictly limited to contractors holding a GE Level IV Maintenance and Overhaul Facility license. This limited sources justification under FAR 6.302-1 ensures that all repairs adhere to GE OEM specifications and NAVSEA technical manuals to maintain fleet readiness and safety. Qualified large businesses including Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd., MTU Berlin-Brandenburg GmbH, Hanwha Aerospace Service, TransCanada Turbines Limited, GE-Avio SRL, and Tusas Engine Industries Inc. are identified as eligible sources. Performance will take place at these licensed facilities globally, with final acceptance based on adherence to GE Quality Assurance procedures and performance testing.
