Solicitation details, issuing organization, response deadlines, documents, and interested companies for this government contract opportunity.
AI Contract Overview
The contract specifies the procurement of 100 sterile hardwood tongue depressors under NSN 6515-01-305-5120, with a shelf life of 60 months that is non-extendable, and requires compliance with all DLA packaging and marking standards, including Medical Marking Standard No. 1, which supersedes MIL-STD-129. Each unit must be sealed in a protective container and packed in commercial shipping containers suitable for safe transport via common carrier at the lowest cost to the designated delivery points, with palletization following RP001 requirements and packaging conforming to ASTM D3951 only when not overridden by higher-priority DLA technical and quality requirements. The items are regulated by the FDA, and vendors must be registered as Fleet Prime Vendors with approved part numbers from DYNAREX, BENCO, or CARDINAL HEALTH. The order includes four packages totaling 100 units, with two separate delivery lines—one for USS NITZE DDG 94 and another for USS THEODORE ROOSEVELT CVN 71—both requiring delivery within 20 days and shipment via the fastest traceable means; parcel post is prohibited. All packaging must be labeled with correct government identifiers and follow the exact unit of issue and quantity per unit pack as defined in the contract. The required delivery dates are August 12 and 13, 2026, with zero tolerance for quantity variance and inspection and acceptance occurring at the destination.
