Solicitation details, issuing organization, response deadlines, documents, and interested companies for this government contract opportunity.
AI Contract Overview
The Department of Defense is conducting a Sources Sought notice to identify qualified contractors capable of performing a Design-Build project for a covered parking structure designed to accommodate two F-35 fighter aircraft. The structure must feature a non-enclosed, standing seam metal roof canopy with a multiple-segment cantilevered gable design, supported by perimeter load-bearing columns. Acceptable construction methods include pre-engineered buildings, concrete masonry unit blocks, tilt-up concrete panels, or other approved methods that meet the specified design criteria. The design must comply with Miami-Dade County building codes and meet Florida's high-velocity wind zone standards, with structural calculations in accordance with ASCE/SEI 7-10 and relevant Florida building codes. Additional requirements include galvanized hardware per ASTM standards, lightning protection, pavement striping, and aircraft tie-down/mooring points. Interested firms are asked to submit a Capability Statement by June 29, 2026, demonstrating their experience with similar design-build projects, particularly those fulfilling military design submittal guidelines and compliance with stringent wind-load requirements. Submissions should include company details, socioeconomic status, relevant past performance on comparable projects, and bonding capacity. The contractor will be responsible for providing design submittals at various completion stages for government review per ANGETL 24-02 guidelines. Responses must be emailed to designated contracting officers, Sandy Guite and Nika Salemi, at the addresses provided, with strict adherence to the specified email formatting requirements. This notice serves solely for market research and is not a solicitation for proposals or bids at this time.
