Design and Build Mechanical Assembly

The intent of this request is to identify potential offerors for market research purposes only. ***** Request for Information (RFI) Savannah River Nuclear Solutions, LLC (SRNS), which manages and operates portions of the Savannah River Site (SRS) under a Department of Energy (DOE) prime contract, seeks information from parties capable of design and build a mechanical assembly. The SRS complex is located approximately 15 miles south of Aiken, South Carolina and is 310 contiguous square miles. Scope summary Develop a mechanical assembly that is capable of transferring a specified weight of powdered material (density of 1.3-3 gram/cc) from a 55-gallon stainless steel drum to adjacent tank with minimum operator contact. The assembly would have access to power and air supply as required. It would be placed in an outdoor, covered structure with a height restriction of 10 feet. The transfer of the material would be over approximately 5-6ft distance and would need to minimize any - dust associated with moving of contents. The initial/final weight of the material would need to be able to be documented. A supplier's response to the RFI does not guarantee they will be selected to participate in the RFP. Suppliers responding to this RFI shall include evidence of the following: Supplier Capability statement/personnel qualifications Standard lead time for design, fabrication and delivery Past performance relative to subject scope E-mail response addressing Items 1 through 3 above (attachments in pdf format) shall be submitted by 5:00 p.m. est. on 4/29/23 to Barbara McCarty at barbara.mccarty@srs.gov.
