Full Description

USAID/Tanzania is seeking the services of a resident hire U.S. PSC to serve as the U.S. Government interagency DREAMS Coordinator. This position will work across U.S. Government (USG) agencies (State Department, U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Department of Defense, Peace Corps, and USAID) and is based in the Health Office of USAID/Tanzania. The coordinator will report to USAID's Community-Based Services Team Leader. The DREAMS Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring harmonized and strategic programming and oversight of initiative-funded activities. Working collaboratively with the PEPFAR interagency team, the DREAMS Advisor will provide technical guidance and oversight to ensure the successful implementation of the DREAMS Initiative. The Advisor will have a range of cross-cutting responsibilities for designing, planning, monitoring, and overseeing the initiative. These responsibilities will include regular contact and collaboration, at technical and policy levels, in a complex and rapidly evolving country context, with counterparts in the Government of Tanzania Ministry of Health, Community Development, Gender, the Elderly; Children, the National AIDS Council; the Tanzania AIDS Commission for HIV/AIDS, President's Office Regional and Local Government; and other relevant ministries and agencies; with civil society organizations and private local and international companies; with other donor and international organizations; and, with other USG entities working in HIV/AIDS prevention, care, treatment, and mitigation in Tanzania.
