The Department of Defense’s Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic (SPAWARSYSCEN Atlantic), under the Defense Health Agency (DHA), is seeking information on commercially-available local area network (LAN) equipment for its military health systems. This request outlines a comprehensive list of technical requirements for various networking components, including 48-port Power over Ethernet (PoE+) switches with and without 10G capabilities, long-haul GBIC transceivers, switch stacking units, core and server switch solutions with redundant and hot-swappable features, as well as network monitoring solutions and related training and support services. All products must be compliant with the DISA Unified Capabilities Approved Product List and come from a single manufacturer enterprise solution capable of meeting stringent redundancy, power supply, routing protocol, IPv6, VLAN, and security standards. Interested vendors are requested to provide detailed company and product information, including pricing and General Services Administration schedule data, to assist SSC-LANT in conducting objective assessments for potential acquisition planning. The RFI explicitly states that the information gathered will be used for planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation for offers or an intent to award a contract. Submissions are due by 26 October 2016 via email, and respondents should refrain from submitting proprietary data as all information provided will become publicly accessible in SSC-LANT documentation. The process emphasizes a thorough evaluation of both product capabilities and vendor qualifications to support future DHA LAN projects.
