Notice of Government's Intent to issue a Sole Source a requirement to DILO Company, Inc. The Western Area Power Administration (WAPA), Sierra Nevada Region (SNR), requires a Contractor to perform a Dilo SF6 Analyzer service and calibration on three (3) units, in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations. WAPA will ship the units to DILO. DILO will service and ship the units back to WAPA . This is a Notice of Intent to Award a Sole-Source contract using the simplified acquisition procedures of FAR Part 13. The Western Power Administration intends to award a sole source contract for the above services to Doble Engineering Company. The proposed contract action is for products or services for which the Government intends to solicit only one source. Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements. A determination by the Government to not compete this proposed purchase order/contract based upon any responses received from this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether competitive procedures could be used for this acquisition. The authority for this acquisition is FAR 13.106-1, which permits soliciting from a single source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source is reasonably available.
