AI Contract Overview
The contract covers the procurement of Diphenhydramine Hydrochloride capsules, specifically in unit doses of 25 mg (100 capsules per package). Packaging and packing must comply with DLA's commercial packaging standards, ensuring each unit is properly sealed and protected to prevent damage. Exterior shipping containers must meet commercial requirements for safe and cost-effective transportation to the delivery point. All materials must be marked according to Medical Marking Standard No. 1, overriding previous MIL-STD-129 references. Shelf life for the product is specified as 24 months and is non-extendable. The contract specifies that if the product is classified as hazardous, packaging must meet TQ requirement IP025; otherwise, ASTM D3951 standards apply, with priority given to DLA’s Master List technical requirements. The purchase order includes one package (PG) of Diphenhydramine Hydrochloride capsules with an NSN of 6505-00-132-0294, to be delivered within 20 calendar days FOB destination to the receiving point at Fort Carson, Colorado. Shipments must be traceable and not sent via standard parcel post. The contract also requires bidder information, manufacturer details, and specific manufacturer part numbers. It emphasizes compliance with technical quality standards, and government markings and includes a referral process for FDA-regulated products. The solicitation was issued by the Department of Defense’s Medical Supply Chain Pharmacy FSA with a response deadline shortly after the posting date in April 2026.
