Full Description

The purpose of this effort is to obtain information security expertise and support to ensure the timely response to customer requests for assistance, as well as to provide US Cyber Command an overall picture of the well-being of the GIG with regards to Network Assurance activity directed against DoD assets. The focus of this effort is to provide technical support, analysis, and recommendations to the DCC Commander in the areas of: Surveillance and Reconnaissance; Perimeter Defense; Malicious Code Analysis; attack vector analysis; CND Incident Handling; Vulnerability Management/Reporting; Risk Analysis and Readiness; and Strategic Analysis. The support detailed in this effort also provides for technical analysis, plans and standards, systems engineering and technical assist, threat management and security alerting services, as well as surge capabilities to support to the DCC's 24x7x365 CND mission critical responsibilities. This effort supports the DCC's ability to employ proactive approaches in identifying active exploits and threats to the GIG and ensures continuity of operations for the DCC through COOP and contingency planning as well as contractor mobilization/changeover procedures.
