The Department of the Air Force is seeking information on commercially available, man-portable, handheld counter-unmanned system (MPHC) technologies to address threats from Group 1-2 unmanned aircraft systems and drone swarms, particularly those capable of delivering hazardous materials. The solicitation, identified as FA852026MPHC under NAICS code 332994, is a non-binding Request for Information (RFI) issued for market research purposes only, with no intent to award a contract based on responses. Respondents must provide detailed technical capabilities including detection, tracking, identification, and defeat of both stationary and moving UAS threats in cluttered environments and low-light conditions, using radar systems such as 3D AESA and RF detection as primary sensors, and EO, IR, and acoustic sensors as secondary validation tools. Kinetic solutions like guided projectiles, high-energy lasers, or interceptor drones are desired, and all systems must be commercial-off-the-shelf or non-developmental items with a minimum Technology Readiness Level of 7. The response must include business information such as company name, address, CAGE code, SAM registration status, socioeconomic certifications including small business, woman-owned, 8(a), HUBZone, and veteran-owned designations, and ownership disclosures. Technical submissions require documentation of operational performance data, TRL assessments, system architecture, deployment configurations, training and logistics support, quality assurance processes like ISO 9001 or AS9100, and ammunition package data where applicable. All responses must be submitted via email to Ricardo Jones at ricardo.jones@us.af.mil no later than close of business on May 26, 2026, and all submitted materials become Government property with no guarantee of return or reimbursement for costs incurred. The place of performance is Warner Robins, Georgia, and while no contract awards are anticipated, findings may lead to future Industry or Demonstration Days.
