DNR Prairie Seed Mix for Sibley PHA

The State of Illinois Office of Resource Conservation is soliciting bids for the procurement of a prairie seed mix for the Sibley PHA project. The scope of work requires the vendor to supply a variety of grasses and wildflowers for a total of 70 acres, with specific requirements for 27 different species including Canada wildrye, Little Bluestem, and various asters and coneflowers. Deliverables are measured in Pure Live Seed (PLS) pounds or ounces per acre, and the vendor must comply with all federal laws and regulations regarding the packing and labeling of supplies. The contract is governed by the Standard Terms and Conditions of the State of Illinois Chief Procurement Office and is contingent upon the availability of funds from the Illinois General Assembly or federal sources. Vendors must maintain general commercial liability insurance of 1 million dollars per occurrence and 2 million dollars annual aggregate, as well as auto liability and worker's compensation insurance. Payment is handled in accordance with the State Prompt Payment Act, and invoices for services through June 30 must be submitted by July 31. The state retains the right to terminate the contract for convenience with 30 days' written notice or immediately if health, safety, or property is jeopardized.
