The Domestic Water Chemical Repairs Project (Project) proposes removing defective stucco and installing new stucco on existing Coachella Valley Water District (CVWD) chlorine buildings at the following nine existing sites: 1. Well 5630 2. Well 4611 3. Well 5682 4. Well 4720 5. Well 5715 6. Booster Station 05655 7. Booster Station 05609 8. Booster Station 05610 9. Booster Station 05689 The purpose of this project is to protect the wood frame and restore the outside wall aesthetics of the existing chlorine buildings. During Project construction, the sites will remain active and in service, with work being performed with minimal disruption to CVWD's ongoing operation of the facilities. The Project will involve removing and disposing of defective stucco on all four sides of existing 11-foot by 11-foot wood-framed chlorine buildings within the nine domestic water sites. Proper preparation of surfaces will be conducted per industry standards before new stucco and trim are applied. The newly installed stucco will match the existing color and texture of the existing buildings on-site to maintain uniformity in appearance. The application of stucco will follow industry best practices to ensure durability and consistency. Construction for this Project is anticipated to take place in or around December 2025 and last approximately 4 months until completion. No ground disturbance will be performed during the removal and installation of the defective stucco.
