This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS / SOLICITATION for non-commercial forestry services prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Subparts 15.2, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation issued as Request for Proposal (RFP) AG-82MK-S-13-0005. A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. FAR clauses and provisions enclosed within this RFP are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-66 and are available in full text through Internet access at http://www.acquisition.gov/far. The US Forest Service encourages the participation of small, disadvantaged, service disabled veteran, and women owned business enterprises. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 115310 and the small business size standard is $7.0 million. The proposed contract is 100% set-aside for small business concerns. Responsible small business concerns may submit an offer which will be considered by the Forest Service. All questions pertaining to this solicitation must be submitted in writing to Jay Tobin at contact@example.gov. All Offerors shall be registered in the System for Award Management (www.sam.gov) database to be eligible for award. Offerors must respond to all instructions in Section L of the solicitation to be considered responsive to this solicitation. Offerors that fail to meet these criteria will not be considered for award. A pre-proposal conference is planned for June 10, 2013. See Section L for details. The Government requires performance of the work described in these documents to improve wildlife habitat in the Dominguez Ridge area of the northern portion of the Uncompahgre plateau. Secondarily, the project will reduce natural fuel loading within the area. Offerors shall enter required/applicable information in blocks 12 - 17 of the SF 33, and prices/other requested data in Section B of the Solicitation using a typewriter or black ink.
