BC Parks is inviting proposals for Implementation Contractor services in 55.4 hectares over a one-year term, to monitor and report on wildfire risk reduction treatment implementation.The objective of the Implementation Contractor services is to perform quality monitoring of mechanical and manual treatments at Dragon Mountain Park (TU1) to support successful implementation of the fuel management prescription by the Treatment Contractor.The estimated budget for the project is $45,000.Note: proposals exceeding the estimated budget for the project WILL NOT be excluded from consideration. The services required include but are not limited to:developing the project plan to ensure timelines are met, providing oversight of fuel management treatment operations, allocating appropriate levels of personnel and equipment to complete the project, working with the treatment contractor to ensure treatment is being carried out as prescribed, ensuring work meets quality standards and specifications by completing quality monitoring inspection plots and other quality surveying, ensuring Implementation Contractor costs are kept within approved limits, reporting on treatment progress, recommendation of payment to ministry representative, and representing the ministry interest. The Implementation Contractor must be a Forest Professional with Forest Professionals BC. Refer to Schedule A for a full list of required services.The anticipated term of this contract is approximately September 21, 2026 - March 31, 2027, subject to operational treatment activities, weather conditions and fire danger. Treatment activities are estimated to take place between October 1, 2026 - March 31, 2027, on frozen or dry ground to maintain soil disturbance targets and other prescribed treatment impact targets or specifications. The term of this contract is subject to change with respect to weather conditions and unforeseen circumstances. The contract term may be extended subject to funding and satisfactory performance of the Contractor.All pile burning and/or debris disposal must be completed by March 31, 2027, subject to OBSCR, B.C. Wildfire Act, and Wildfire Regulation Hazard abatement requirements.
