Hillsborough County intends to recommend the award of a noncompetitive procurement to Dreamseats LLC for ongoing and needed purchases and deliveries of Dreamseat commercial grade recliners and loveseats for a two (2) year period at a total cost of $67,734.00. The Fire Rescue Department has performed trial wear testing in multiple fire stations across the county to determine standardization among the three (3) known industry leaders for fire station furniture. Dreamseats brand commercial recliners and loveseats were rated the highest durability, longevity, and comfort. Invitation to Quote No. ITQ-24-24726 was recently published and only one (1) bid was received from the manufacturer, Dreamseats LLC. The commercial grade recliners and loveseats are only reasonably available from one (1) source and will be used to standardize for the purpose of reducing financial investment or simplifying administration within the fire stations. The County reserves the right to extend the time period further, adjust the scope of services in response to changing conditions and updated requirements, and increase the resulting award accordingly. Contractors who believe that they can provide goods that are substantially and materially the same as those identified in the attached quote must submit clear and convincing information to support a challenge the intended award. Challenges to this notice must be received no later than the Close Date of the Sole Source (SS) Project. After this date, an award will be made.
