Full Description

The USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service is seeking to solicit quotes for drilling services to be provided to support a geotechnical investigation by the Agency on three watershed structure earthen embankment dams located in Broome County, New York. The sites were each constructed approximately 45 years ago to reduce the potential for flood damages downstream. Drilling services will include auger drilling, rock coring, testing, sampling, measuring and grouting. Rock coring is anticipated on all of the structures. All boreholes will be grouted according to specifications and State requirements upon completion of the work. The qualified contractor shall be capable of mobilizing two drill rigs, a driller and drill helper for each rig, all equipment, materials and labor necessary to perform the required drilling services. The solicitation package (RFQ) will be issued on or before August 16, 2013. A site showing will be held on Monday, August 19, 2013 on site. Specific information will be included in the solicitation package. A firm fixed price service contract will be awarded as a result of this solicitation. Performance to begin Monday, October 7, 2013 - NTE Friday, November 22, 2013.
