The United States Coast Guard is considering whether or not to set aside an acquisition for HUBZone concerns, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Concerns (SDVOSB) or for small businesses. The small business size standard is less than 1,000 employees. The NAICS Code is 336611. The acquisition is for DRYDOCK REPAIRS of the USCGC MOBILE BAY (WTGB 103) AND 120 FOOT BARGE. The USCGC MOBILE BAY (WTGB 103) AND 120 FOOT BARGE homeport is the Sturgeon Bay, WI. GEOGRAPHICAL RESTRICTIONS- THE GREAT LAKES. Anticipated start date on or about 25 JUL 2011 through 19 SEPT 2011. The scope of the acquisition is to: (1) Hull plating (U/W - Inspect - Tug & Barge) (2) Hull plating (U/W Body, Ultrasonic testing, (3) Appendages (U/W), Leak Test, (4) Voids (Non-Accessible), Leak Test, (5) U/W Body, Preserve (100%) - Barge, (6) Hull Plating Freeboard, Preserve (100%) Tug, (7) Drydocking Tug (8) Drydocking Barge. All welding and brazing shall be accomplished by trained welders who have been certified by the applicable regulatory code performance qualification procedures.
